January New Moon In Aquarius

Its a new moon today, in Aquarius, at the 4th degree, at 4:21 PM EST, on Jan 24th 2020. I see a lot of 4’s, which is associated with stability. I am thankful for that! I’ve been having some really big downloads this afternoon after I hosted a sound bath. 

For me, this new moon has a big message. Its one of practical reason. I read an assessment of the new moon for this month and it said that although we say its in Aquarius, its actually lining of with Capricorn because of the procession of the equinoxes (I believe this refers to the fact that our sun is actually moving forward in an elliptical path just as the planets going around the sun are, so the relative view of the starts change bit by bit year after year because of this). Back to the point – maybe the practical nature of this new moon is rooted in the fact that the star backdrop is actually Capricorn! 

Anyway…regarding my downloads, its a message of being realistic about who I am. I was formed in a time and environment where I was taught to feel small, and stay out of the way. The message I got with the new moon is – if you keep going on this way you jip yourself, and by jipping yourself everyone gets jipped. I stay small, we all stay small. The same is true for everyone. You stay small, I stay small. My personal opinion is that this comes from capitalism. Capitalism was made for some people to get rich and stay rich, and for most people to give their lives to other people getting rich. The energy of that system is confining. It engages in scare tactics, and guilt measures to keep people down. 

We humans are AMAZING creatures! Each and every one of us is capable of incredible creations and beautiful feats. For example, I’ve been wondering recently why there aren’t more movies out there on the networks. Why aren’t there more famous movie stars? Why is it only a few people who are so recognized. it’s not becasue there’s only a few people with talent, and everyone else is average. No, no. Its this energy of capitalism that says, only a few can win, there isn’t room for more. This is just untrue. Everyone can win, and everyone has talent (be it in math, art, writing, humanities). Everyone has genius, a key to uncovering it is to stop this energy of scarcity and lack that feeling that there isn’t enough because someone else has it. That’s the game that has been played for centuries now. I think I may have been born to step beyond it, as part of my life work.

I am seeing that old energy pretty clearly and how it has effected me. Its time to get real with myself and step out of confinement. I’ve been doing it, but this new moon is saying, time to up the anti. Time to get even more real with yourself, and your divinely given gifts. It’ll be a process, but I can feel it, palliatively feel it. An era has to end, its the only way for new energy to enter. I honer the old, and look expectantly at the new.
