Learn the basics of yoga with me. Create good physical health in the body. Still the mind. My classes are in the Ashtanga Yoga style. I begin class with warmups (Sun Salutations) aligned with the original way they were developed. This means that I use step backs to a lunge instead of jumping back to a low pushup. Performing warm ups this way preserves the shoulders and is easier on the knees, which allows for longevity of bone and muscle health.

Class Details: We explore various yoga flows to activate chakra energy centers, and bring mindfulness to various concepts related to energy, health and yoga concepts. Class will begin with breathing exercises, followed by Vinyasa flow, ending with a time for savasana. Most of the content is intermediate. Beginners are welcome, there are many variations and options for yoga poses that account for flexibility and mobility.
